Alan Searing has lived in Hertfordshire all his life and in Hoddesdon for 31 years. He has been happily married for the last 37 years and has three grown-up, married daughters, and two granddaughters.

Alan has served the community as a trustee for the Dame Letitia Monson Trust (local Almshouses in Broxbourne High Road) for 24 years, the last 18 as Chairman.

He has been a County Councillor for eight years, serving on various committees and panels, and is currently Chairman of the IT and Efficiencies panel and the Property panel.

Alan has been in business all his working life and has been a member of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management for thirty-one years.
