Nigel is a Civil Servant, working at the Department for Work and Pensions in Watford.
Political History
Nigel has represented Vicarage/Holywell Division in West Watford since May 2005. He had previously been a Labour Borough Councillor on Watford Borough Council for the Holywell Ward from 2001 – 2003.
He has always taken a keen interest in Highways issues and has campaigned for the West Watford Relief Road and, more recently, the Tolpits Lane Link Road. The issues of traffic congestion and parking have been increasingly amongst his concerns and casework.
Current Position
Nigel is the Deputy Leader of the Herts County Labour Group and the Labour Spokesman on Childrens, Schools and Families.
Nigel is also the Labour Councillor for Holywell division on Watford Borough Council.
Much of Nigel’s casework and enquiries from residents concerns Social Services – which he finds time-consuming, but rewarding to follow a case through successfully.
